RPGŪ collaborates with the international research community and has co-funded the EPSRC grant for the development of a room acoustic diffusion coefficient. This parameter will help improve the accuracy of geometrical room modeling programs and evaluate potential diffusing surfaces.
RPGŪ's labs are equipped with diffusion coefficient measurement goniometers, reverberation room, low frequency impedance tubes, flow resistance apparatus, computerized measurement equipment, and a listening and auralization lab. RPG utilizes proprietary predictive boundary element and geometrical image modelling programs and proprietary multidimensional optimization software for room dimensioning, speaker/listener placement, and surface shaping. |
