The primary acoustic goal for a Percussion Rehearsal Room is to control overall sound power by using highly absorptive finishes on the ceiling and walls.
| Ceiling |
The ceiling should be approximately 18’-22’ above
the floor and should be a Acoustic Ceiling Tile with a high Noise
Reduction Coefficient of NRC-0.85 or higher. |
| Walls | About 75% of the total wall area should be sound absorptive. This can be achieved economically using RPG DiffusorBlox (unpainted, slotted) or 4” thick RPG BAD Panels over standard CMU. |
| Warning | This room will be very absorptive and controlled. It will only function well as a Percussion Rehearsal Room. |
