RPG Continually Evolving
RPG will be closed during its annual summer shutdown from August 11-15th. Summer is a productive
time for research at RPG when we welcome summer interns. This year we are pleased to have Dr. Jonathan Rathsam join us for a second time,
following completion of his Ph.D. from Lily Wang's program at Nebraska. We are also expanding our testing facilities to include new impedance tubes,
fabric testing, diffusion and scattering coefficients for new and exciting products.
This fall we will be welcoming many visits by architects and acousticians for our Continuing Education Series of
Diffuse Seminars. If you would like to join us, please contact RPG or a
Rep in your area.
Introducing the CDM-ISO-PSJ and CDM-ISO-PRJ
The patent pending CDM-ISO-PSJ-L and CDM-ISO-PSJ-H (solid elastomers) and CDM-ISO-PRJ-L and CDM-ISO-PRJ-H (spring isolators) are used to resiliently suspend
lightweight plasterboard ceilings to a joist floor, thereby maximizing the ceiling height and minimizing the transmission of audible energy.
The design loads and resonant frequencies of the CDM-ISO-PSJ-L and CDM-ISO-PSJ-H hangers are 34 Lbf/14 Hz and 79 Lbf/12.8 Hz, respectively.
The design loads and resonant frequencies of the CDM-ISO-PRJ-L and CDM-ISO-PRJ-H hangers are 56 Lbf/4 Hz and 112 Lbf/5 Hz, respectively. Static and dynamic
stiffness and creep tests are available on request.
Please contact Tom Ryan, Director of RPG's Noise and Vibration Division, for more information. We also invite you to visit our
website
and download the RPG-CDM Room Isolation System brochure.
