Product Profile: Waveform Bicubic
The Bicubic represents the highest performance, two-dimensional, curvelinear suspended ceiling panel for use over a stage or audience area. Coverage is optimized using RPG's Shape Optimizer software. The Bicubic measures 48" x 48" x 9" and is available in GRG. Dead hung suspension from embedded rigging connectors is simple with included cable assembly. Product Evaluations
Over the past 24 years, RPG has introduced many acoustical innovations, but it has also improved on traditional acoustical products like pyramids, barrels, etc. In this issue, we highlight the fiber reinforced gypsum pyramid, available in 4'x4' or 2'x2' for wall or T-bar installation. The design of these pyramids is based on the golden mean, a preferred ratio in architecture. Clearsorber: The Future is Clear
RPG is proud to introduce a new class of trasparent microperforated absorbers, that do not require any porous material in the cavity. The innvation is sub-millimeter holes, which offer high viscous losses and provide absorption with a view. This revolution is just what is needed in front of windows in atria, lobbies, offices, conference rooms, botanical gardens, convention centers, etc. We offer Clearsorber in 0.1 mm Foils, 1.5 mm Sheets, 5 mm Panels and 19 mm Honeycomb. Electronic Architecture
The photo shows RPG's seminar room equipped with a new SIAP Mark IV 32 output installation. The seminar room seats about 25 and is used regularly for educational seminars and CATT Acoustic headphone auralization demonstrations. In the photo, one can see the four KM185 Neumann microphones. There are 32 Frazier C399 loudspeakers mounted in ceiling baffles covered with gray fabric. Live music and speech can be auditioned, as well as processed and unprocessed anechoic recordings, using the processed and unprocessed line inputs. The loudspeakers are powered by 4 QSC CX168 8-channel amplifiers. RPG will sponsor training sessions at our facility throughout 2007, so call for an appointment and stay tuned!
