Happy New Year from RPG
All of us at RPG wish you and your families a very Happy and Prosperous New Year. Thanks to your specifications, 2007 promises to be a record year for RPG.
We will host an Acoustician's Only Seminar on June 22, 2007 and several SIAP demos at times to
be announced. Also please accept my invitation to visit RPG, at our expense, for a Day with Dr. D. If you miss an effusor edition, all previous issues are now on line.
Product Profile: Waveform Spline The Spline
represents the highest performance, one-dimensional, curvelinear suspended ceiling panel for use over a stage or audience area. Coverage is optimized using RPG's
Shape Optimizer software. The Spline measures 48" x 96" x 12" and is available in GRG.
Dead hung suspension from embedded rigging connectors is simple with included cable assembly. The Waveform Spline installation photo is Starpoint High School, Lockport, NY.
Product Evaluations
Over the past 23 years, RPG has discovered how to design,
predict, optimize, measure and characterize scattering surfaces. As competitors attempt to copy our old technology,
this knowledge allows us to continually innovate and evolve our products. In the photo, we show a comparison between
the venerable FlutterFree (top) and the new and advanced
FlutterFree-T (bottom). Please visit our competitive
product evaluations site to learn the difference.
Disappearing Holes....
RPG offers the widest selection of perforated wood absorptive panels from n'H Akustik + Design. Topperfo panels are available in a wide range of perforation
diameters and spacings. We are happy to announce a new format with holes that practically disappear at a distance. On the right, there are
2 mm holes spaced 8 mm apart. On the left, there are 1.2 mm holes spaced 8 mm apart. In the new center pattern, there are 1.2 mm
holes 4 mm apart.
Electronic Architecture
The new SIAP Mark IV represents
the next generation in electronic architecture systems, offering
the industry’s most powerful time constant reverberation processor.
RPG has recently installed a 32 output system, with 32 loudspeakers and 4 mic inputs in its training center. The photo shows the MKIV Processor at the top (with the SIAP "A" logo),
the eight additional fill, aux, processed and unprocedded
inputs below that, followed by four 8-channel amplifiers and at bottom the Processor selection terminal. RPG will sponsor training sessions at our facility throughout 2007, so
stay tuned!
NCAC
To strengthen our industry, we encourage all acousticians to consider joining the
National Council of Acoustical Consultants. RPG has supported the NCAC
with our educational centerfold for many years. We invite you to read
Diffuse Reflections Volume 11, Issue 4 and all online previous issues, as well as our view
of the State of Our Industry.
