RPG Continually Evolving
We are happy to announce RESAP, the first Class A core material that also does not contain any added formaldehyde. RESAP is formulated
from natural gypsum and 10% recycled cellulose fiber. It can be lacquered with low VOC coatings in any color or veneered in a wide
range of veneers. It can be used as a decorative panel or acoustically grooved/perforated to provide sound absorption in the form
of Topakustik or Topperfo products. It may be used to satisfy LEED-NC MR and EQ Credits. For more information please download the
Resap brochure.
This fall we will be welcoming many visits by architects and acousticians for our Continuing Education Series of
Diffuse Seminars. If you would like to join us, please contact RPG or a
Rep in your area.
Introducing the CDM-ISO-LAT
CDM-ISO-LAT battens are designed to optimize sound isolation and minimize impact noise of concrete or wood floor constructions
and achieve resonant frequencies of 6-10 Hz when correctly loaded. The rails are 9.84’ (3 m) long and the elastomers have three standard
thicknesses of 1.18” (30), 1.58” (40 mm) and 1.97” (50 mm). The resonant frequencies are 10, 8 and 6 Hz, respectively.
Please contact Tom Ryan (tryan@rpginc.com), Director of RPG's Noise and Vibration Division, for more information.
Waveform Woodgrain Spline in Fletcher Hall at the Chautaugua Institute.
RPG is proud to have been specified on the renovation in Fletcher Hall at the Chautaugua Institution, NY. The Waveform Woodgrain Spline can be seen
on the stage walls and also behind the piano in the lower photo. The Waveform Woodgrain Spline complements our glass reinforced gypsum Spline
and offers a rich wooden surface preferred in performance spaces. RPG DiffusorBlox were stained and used as a cost effective diffusive treatment
on the side walls.
The acoustician was Seth Waltz of AVL Designs, Inc., Penfield, NY. The architect on the project was Michael J. Conroe, R.A., Foit-Albert Associates
Buffalo, NY.
Announcing the Harmonix-K 2'x2' diffusive ceiling tile
In the last issue we announced the Harmonix-G, providing optimal diffusion and bass support in a convenient T-bar mounted tile. In this issue we introduce the Harmonix-K, which is thermoformed
in Class A Kydex. The Harmonix-K also provides optimal sound diffusion, but also offers low frequency absorption to simultaneously control low
frequency reverberation. The Harmonix-K is acoustically optimized and asymmetric allowing aperiodic modulation. However its sides are identical allowing the tile to be mounted
in any orientation with continuous seams. For more information please download the
Harmonix-K brochure.
If you missed any issues, all previous issues
are now on line. If you do not wish to receive this email, please reply with unsubscribe in the Subject field
