Design was responsible for complete project consultation, acoustical
design, infra-structure design and construction administration
of this 2000 square foot professional recording studio. Spaces
include an 825 square foot large main room, auxiliary room, isolation
booth and pseudo LEDE® control room. Noise control design
includes dual, multi-leave walls, hardwood floating floors, isolation
hanger suspended ceilings, rated acoustical doors and windows.
Interior acoustical design includes RPG Diffractals®
on all studio walls, including a custom mid/low frequency system
on one wall, wood and plexiglass QRD®s
were used on the splayed control room side walls, FRG
Omniffusors TM were installed flush in the rear
walls of the control room and also suspended in the ceiling grid
of the Studio and Aux room, Modex Modules were installed in all
rooms, Corner Modex™
were used as a moveable panel in the Studio and BAD
TM Diffsorptive panels were installed in lower
walls and ceiling grids. Noise Criteria, room decay, spatial absorption
and LF room modes were predicted and calculated prior to construction.
After construction these parameters were measured and verified
using primarily the TEF Analyzer. All RPG products performed as
expected and the final result met all expectations and was enthusiastically
received by the client.
