Right Track Recording, New York

Right Track Recording's new 5000 square foot orchestral room and film-scoring stage in New York City is the latest in large room tracking on the East Coast. Coupled with a 1,000 square foot control room that is equipped for full stereo, 5.1 and 7.1 recording and mixing, this is the most sophisticated new recording facility built to date.

Designed by the Janson Design Group of New York City, the orchestral room is a full 35 feet high and uses RPG's Golden Pyramid™ 2'x2' lay-in fiberglass reinforced gypsum non-combustible panels at the ceiling level. The design of these pyramidal scatterers is based on the golden mean. The six large ceiling coffers that are made up utilizing the Golden Pyramids™ are used not only for excellent diffusion and scattering of sound, but also act as low frequency bass traps by virtue of the deep space designed behind the panels themselves.

In addition to controlling sound in the room the Golden Pyramids™, when used in very large rooms such as Right Track, create an extraordinary aesthetic that is undeniable. As noted by Billboard Magazine's Christopher Walsh, "Right Track's newest room is nothing short of breathtaking…"

In addition to the Golden Pyramids™ , approximately 1000 square feet of FlutterFree® was installed on portions of the ceiling air conditioning duct enclosures to eliminate any possible chance of flutter echo.
