The transparent, microperforated, panel absorber shall be the Clearsorber™ as supplied by RPG Diffusor Systems, Inc., Upper Marlboro, MD 20774. Tel: 301-249-0044, Fax: 301-249-3912, email: info@rpginc.com.

1. The transparent, microperforated, panel absorber shall consist of a 0.2" (5 mm) thick acrylic or polycarbonate panel with 0.02" (0.5 mm) holes drilled on 0.2" (5 mm) centers.
2. The transparent, microperforated, panel absorber shall provide inherent damping, which reduces excessive reverberation in rooms due to high viscous losses.
3. The transparent, microperforated, panel absorber shall be mounted with an air space between it and a reflective surface. No porous absorption shall be required in the air cavity offering a fiber-free installation.
4. Absorption Coefficients for the product shall be measured by an independent, accredited NVLAP facility according to the test methods as defined by ASTM C 423, ASTM E 795 and/or ISO C354. ISO C354 random incidence Absorption Coefficients for mounting with a 40-mm (1.57") air cavity:

5. The transparent, microperforated, panel absorber shall either be non-fire rated or Class A according to ASTM E84 as required by the application.
6. The transparent, microperforated, panel absorber shall be applied with an air cavity between the panel and a reflective rear. The air cavity shall be specified by the acoustician to provide the required absorption.
