Dr. D'Antonio--Thank
you for coming to our office with such an interesting and educational
program on acoustical science and products. Your presentation had our
architectural staff fully "absorbed" and we appreciate both
the Powerpoint information, and your engaging manner in answering our
many questions. Your product samples were also helpful in relating to
typical sound interactive building features. We would be interested
in possibly attending one of your upcoming one day seminars. Thank you
again for your presentation.

Peter,
Thank you for your visit to our Washington office. Your acoustical finishes
presentation was outstanding—I definitely came away more knowledgeable
about this aspect of architectural design, feeling that the time was
very well spent. You succeeded in holding my attention throughout, and
you challenged me to re-think what I thought I knew about materials
and acoustics. I look forward to working with you in the future.

Warren Neiman, Tim Sefchok & Susan,
We recently had a very interesting luncheon presentation here at URS
by Dr. Peter D'Antonio of RPG. I recommended that he contact you, as
I think that the presentation would be quite interesting and applicable
to the many MHRS ballroom/meeting room renovations that you do at Marriott.
Their extremely informative presentation provided a broad overview of
the science of acoustics within a building space. In short...we all
gained a far better understanding of the hows and whys of acoustic issues
as they relate to architecture. In the event he hasn't, I have attached
Peter's Bio and an outline of the presentation that he gave. You will
find his contact information on the Program Description. Best Regards
and my wishes for a busy and prosperous new year for you and MHRS!

Peter,
thanks for an excellent presentation on the ability of certain materials
to accomplish acoustical absorption, diffusion, and/or reflection. The
concept of a triangular continuum with these "absolute" properties
at the extremities, and with any particular design goal (or any particular
material property characteristics) falling somewhere within the area
between the extremes, is a useful way to think about the entire challenge.
Much appreciated. Additionally, your enthusiasm and energy demonstrate
your lifelong commitment to, and success at, what you do! Cheers.

I would like to express how much I enjoyed your presentation on the
Application of Acoustic Design and Products in Architecture. It was
most informative and helpful in understanding how you analyze spaces
to accomplish the very best acoustical results. We look forward to your
assistance on some of the projects in our office, as discussed.

So
many times I have heard people complain about bad acoustics in buildings.
Acoustics is the invisible design problem, usually forgotten when planning
spaces. This lecture was an informative wake-up call for architects
and designers to really think about spaces, not just visually, but acoustically.
RPG is a wonderful resource for the profession. Thank you for such an
informative lecture!

Your
presentation opened my eyes (and ears) to the many possibilities that
are available to Architects in dealing with acoustics. It's nice to
know that someone with acoustic design knowledge is also sensitive to
the Architecture. I'm sure each of us attending your seminar left better
informed about acoustic design and the wide array of useful acoustical
products. Thanks again for an enjoyable and informative lunch break.

Recommendation to other SOM locations
In follow-up to the presentation to our office by RPG on acoustic principals
and products, I can easily recommend both RPG and their representative
Gary Madaras. Thanks to Gary's extensive technical background and his
ability to convey a great deal of information in a well organized manner,
the session was valuable on several levels. More than just hype for
a product line, the time spent resulted in a better understanding of
the hows and whys of acoustic issues as they relate to architecture.
This vendor's representative is far more versed in his discipline than
most and worth a listen.

I was asked If I could recommend RPG for a presentation to your office.
I would recommend them. Their presentation was very informative, and
spent some quality time in presenting acoustic principles as well as
presenting the company's products, which are also very interesting.

A few of the folks here who are habitual critics of these luncheon seminars
commented that this was one of the most interesting and informative
we've ever had. Everyone was impressed with the quality of both the
presentation and the projects/research you've been involved with.

I thought Dr. D'Antonio was great. I wouldn't hesitate to give a project
to him, or recommend RPG, assuming we had the budget. This was one of
the few REAL seminars (i.e.: educational) that we have had. I think
some of the things that made the presentation appealing were: 1. An
understanding of the way architects work. 2. Having a sophisticated
product 3. Clearly explaining how it works. That's something most "salesmen"
can't do.

Thank you for taking the time to visit us at IKM and for your insightful
presentation. I must admit that I had only planed on staying for 15
min. for your presentation, however I ended up staying for the entire
1 hour presentation, and I believe it was time well spent. Your extensive
knowledge in the field of acoustical design along with your innovative
and attractive products and services made for an exceptionally captivating
presentation. I will remember your company if a project requires acoustical
products and services.

Thank you RPG for the presentation you have given us. It was very informative
and visually interesting. So much so, that I have passed the web site
information to couple of my friends in other cities.

Thank you for one of the most informative and interesting presentations
we have had in-house, to date. You obviously "know" acoustics
and know how to circumvent acoustic shortcomings in a variety of architectural
venues; you have after all invented the products that do this. You are
also able to "present" to an audience for their understanding.
Able to reach Architects as a salesman, but with all the knowledge of
the inventor. Terrific. Thanks again.

Dr. D'Antonio, thank you for the wonderful presentation. It's great
to know what products/technologies are available to mitigate problems
in the acoustic milieu without aesthetics (aural or otherwise). What
I found particularly engaging was the relative availability of sophisticated
modeling techniques to inform/evaluate the design process at an earlier
stage. Please, let us know when more acoustic seminars are available
at your MD headquarters.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to your recent presentation.
The presentation that you made to our firm on February 19th was one
of the very best I've seen. Your presentation was fascinating from a
technological point of view and provided a number of thoughtful examples
of how those technologies have been applied to common materials in response
to sometimes-complex acoustical and architectural challenges. It certainly
expanded our knowledge of the tools available to us as designers in
solving some of these problems. I learned a great deal in the short
time that you were able to spend with us during our luncheon.

Your presentation was informative, fascinating and energizing. Several
of my colleagues commented that they both learned something and gained
an appreciation for a creative approach to an old problem. We appreciated
your inclination to explain the characteristics of the products and
provide a mini-physics lesson to help us understand. It's a relief to
know there are options to the ubiquitous padded acoustic panels. Thank
you and we'd recommend the seminar to anyone interested in quality.
