Encounters with Aliens on this Day September 1

 September 1

1936 – On this day around noon in Stone, Staffordshire, England
a farm girl recalls that while on her way to a well to draw some water,
a cigar-shaped object with five portholes came down from the sky very
close to her. This was followed by a period of missing time, and she
couldn’t recall drawing water from the well. (Source: John Wallace
Spencer, UFO Encyclopedia, p. 287).

1946 – On this day around noon there was a wave of ghost rockets seen flying over Thessalonika and Macedonia,
according to the Greek Prime Minister. Military reports said the ghost
rockets were flying at between 15,000-30,000 feet altitude, flying from
north to south. (Sources: Timothy Good, Above Top Secret, p. 23; Loren
E. Gross, The Mystery of the Ghost Rockets, p. 62).

1952 – At a U.S. Air Force radar site in Yaak, Montana at
4:45 a.m. two Air Force enlisted men sighted six lights in the sky at the same
time radar tracked two blips on an AN/FPS-3 air defense radar set monitored by three
radar operators. The two small, multi-colored lights became black
silhouettes at dawn and flew around erratically for an hour. (Sources: Don
Berliner, Project Bluebook UFO Unknowns; Loren E. Gross, UFOs: A History. 1952: September-October, p. 2; UNICAT, case # 446).

1952 – At 9:43 p.m. in Atlanta, Georgia Mrs. William
Davis and nine other witnesses saw a light, similar to the evening star,
move up and down for a long period of time. (Source: Don Berliner, Project
Bluebook UFO Unknowns).

1952 – At 10:30 p.m. in nearby Marietta, Georgia an
unidentified witness using binoculars viewed two large objects shaped like
spinning tops and displaying red, blue and green colors. They flew
side-by-side leaving a trail of sparks for 30 minutes. At the same time
Mr. Bowman, an ex-artillery officer, and 24 others saw a red, white, and
bluish-green object spinning and throwing off sparks for 15 minutes.
Twenty minutes later an ex-AAF B-25 gunner saw two large white disc-shaped
objects with green vapor trails flying in trail formation. They merged
together and flew away very fast. (Source: Don Berliner, Project Bluebook
UFO Unknowns).

1954
– At 8:20 p.m. a brownish-red colored disc, encircled by green flashes
and making a purring sound, was seen between Angers and Anjou,
Maine-et-Loire department, France. It flew on a rapid course toward the north. (Source: Aime Michel, Flying Saucers and the Straight Line Mystery, p. 32-33).

1958 – At 12:15 a.m. A. M. Slaton, a Philco technical
representative working as a government contractor, sighted a round,
bluish-white object at Wheelus AFB, Libya. It was flying at varying
speeds. His first sighting lasted two minutes and the second lasted 1.5
minutes. (Sources: Project Blue Book case files, case # 6027; Richard Hall, The UFO Evidence, p. 72; Otto Binder, What We Really Know About Flying Saucers, p. 25; Don Berliner, Project Bluebook UFO Unknowns).

1958 – At 9:30 p.m., about 11 km before reaching Laval,
France a businessman driving from Paris suddenly saw a motionless
object, 10 meters above ground to the left of the road. It was about 150
meters away. It was shaped like two cones with a common base and had two
rows of about ten openings in the middle section. It seemed about 20
meters wide, metallic, with a light similar to a red traffic light shining
through the windows. The witness had time to stop and maneuver his car to
get the object in his headlight beams. Throughout the observation a
whistling sound such as that of a jet aircraft was heard. The object rose
very slowly, and then flew off faster climbing out of sight. (Source:
Jacques Vallee, Passport to Magonia: A Century of Landings, case
470).

1962 – Mr. R. Leeming, an engineer, stopped by a lake for a
picnic while on a business trip in Quebec, Canada around noon. He noticed a metallic UFO
with windows hidden behind some trees, sitting on three telescopic legs,
and shaped like a top. It was 30 feet in diameter. He saw that it had a
ladder and an open doorway, so he climbed the ladder and went inside. The
interior had a control panel but no occupants, but when he turned around
he was surprised to see that two human looking individuals, about 5.7 feet
tall, wearing white suits with helmets, had returned. They looked
surprised to see him, and not sure what to do. He asked them, in French,
why if they were obviously spacemen they looked like us. One of them
replied, speaking in French, and said that the reason was we had a common
ancestor. (Sources: Flying Saucers, June 1976, p. 19; David F. Webb
& Ted Bloecher, HUMCAT: Catalogue of Humanoid Reports, case
A0547, citing Wido Hoville and UFO Quebec).

1965 – An oval-shaped object landed on an estate near the
Huanaco, Peru airport at 5:00 a.m. A being with a big head emerged,
gestured, and then re-entered the craft. The UFO shot straight up at high
speed. (Sources: Jacques Vallee, Passport to Magonia: A Century of
Landings

Thirty Year Report
, p. 472, citing Charles Bowen, The
Humanoids
, p. 120; Coral & Jim Lorenzen, Flying Saucer
Occupants
, p. 114).

1966 – In Willsboro, New York at 2:45 p.m. T. H. Ridman
sighted an oval object with lights that flashed red and white and
occasionally blue, traveled west, and then disappeared downward. It
returned several minutes later, at which time a loud noise was heard. The
entire sighting lasted 30 minutes. (Source: Don Berliner, Project Bluebook
UFO Unknowns).

1966 – At 10:30 p.m. six men, including Mr. C. Murdock, sighted
an orange-reddish domed disc with multicolored lights around the rim
moving around the sky in Fort Duchesne, Utah. There were several
occasions when it went slowly up in the sky and then came back down again.

Fort Duchesne, Utah – 1 September 1966 10:30 p.m.

1968 – In Mendoza, Argentina
two casino workers, Juan Carlos Peccinett, age 26, and Fernando Jose
Villegas, 29, were driving home after work at 3:30 a.m. when the engine
of their car quit and the lights went out. Peccinetti had just started
getting out of the car when both men found themselves paralyzed. They
were soon face to face with three strange, five-foot tall beings with
unusually large bald heads, wearing coveralls. Behind them was a
circular or oval UFO 12 feet across and five feet high that was
hovering four feet above the ground and directing a bright beam of
light downward. When the entities came closer the witnesses heard a
foreign-sounding voice repeat, “Do not fear.” Then they were told, “we
have just made three journeys around the sun, studying customs and
languages of the inhabitants of the system…mathematics is the
universal language.” Meanwhile, another one of the entities, using a
tool that looked like a soldering iron, was making inscriptions on the
doors, windshield, and running boards of their car. The witnesses next
saw a circular TV-like screen, on which there appeared first a
waterfall, then a mushroom cloud, and then the waterfall again, this
time with no water, an apparent warning about the effects of nuclear
war. Finally the beings took hold of the witnesses’ left hands and
pricked their fingers three times, taking blood samples, after which
they ascended to their machine along the light beam. There was an
“explosive effect” and the object rose and disappeared. The men ran to
a nearby military college to report their experience. They later
retracted their story, but there are indications that they were coerced
into doing so. In fact, authorities in Mendoza quickly made the
“spreading of UFO rumors” a criminal offense to discourage widespread
rumors on this and other cases that occurred about the same time.

1971 – Two teenage boys, Day and Brown, in Solihull, West Midlands, England
reported witnessing a crescent or curved flying object at 10:40 p.m. It
was yellowish-white in color, and it hung in the sky for five minutes,
then went into many little pieces, as bright as the big object had
been. There were many other reports that night from Staffordshire,
Nottinghamshire, and Buckinghamshire, and there was a close encounter
of the second kind in Great Bourton, England. (Sources: Mrs. K. Smith, BUFORA Journal, 19720116; Flying Saucers magazine, March 1972, p. 12).

1974
– At 10:45 a.m., while driving a combine to harvest his rape crop
on a rainy morning on his farm five miles northwest of Langenburg, Saskatchewan, Canada
farmer Edwin
Fuhr, age 36, noticed a metallic dome-shaped object about 50 feet
away and
stopped to investigate. Walking to within 15 feet of it, Fuhr saw that
it was spinning and swirling the grass beneath it. This frightened him
and he backed away. Climbing back on the harvester, he looked around
and saw four more identical domes “like brushed stainless steel”
arranged in a rough semi-circle, all hovering and spinning 12 to 18
inches above the ground. At this point he could not get the
throttle and
steering wheel of the swather to respond. One object suddenly took off,
quickly followed by the other four, ascending in a step formation. At
about 200 feet they stopped, each emitting a puff of gray vapor from
exhaust-like extensions at the base. The vapor extended about six feet,
followed by a downward gust of wind which flattened the rape in the
immediate area. The objects then formed a straight line, hovered for a
minute or two, and then suddenly ascended into the low cloud cover and
disappeared. There were five rings of depressed grass swirled in a
clockwise fashion at the landing sites. There was no evidence of heat
or burning. Some additional circles were found in the area later that month.
Fuhr later learned that cattle in a nearby field had bellowed and broken through
a fence about the time of the sighting.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police
Constable Ron Morier, quoted by Canadian Press, said: “Something was there and I
doubt it was a hoax. There’s no indication anything had been wheeled in or out
and Mr. Fuhr seemed genuinely scared.” Later Morier told an investigator, “There
is no way that this is a hoax….Whatever was in there, it came out of the air
and departed the same way, as far as I could tell.” (Sources: Edmonton Journal, September 4, 1974; J. Allen Hynek & Jacques Vallee, The Edge of Reality, p. 265; Ted R. Colombo, UFOs over Canada: Personal Accounts of Sightings and Close Encounters, p. 213).

1976
– Early in the morning at around 4:00 a.m. a  man had gone to feed
some sheep he kept in a small shed on his property in Almusafes,
Valencia, Spain,
when he
observed a low level bright white light moving slowly over some
nearby trees. The light abruptly reversed direction and descended into
a field near some orange bushes, and next to the town cemetery. The
white light went out revealing a dark circular object with a central
flashing red light, sitting in the field 97 meters away. Shortly
later, the
witness saw a very tall, heavy set human-looking figure appear,
and
he started to become very apprehensive. The being was wearing a
shiny
black helmet and a silvery outfit. It took several steps, but with
difficulty, as if almost losing its balance with every step. After
ten minutes the figure vanished. Finally, the object became fiery
orange in color and shot up into the sky at fantastic speed. Ground
traces and animal reactions were reported, including a report that some
of the sheep later died.(Sources: UNICAT, case # 500; Albert S. Rosales,
Humanoid Contact Database 1976, addition # 96, citing
Vicente-Juan Ballester Olmos & Fernandez Peri, Enciclopedia de Los
Encuentros Cercanos con Ovnis
, p. 91).

1978 – Shortly after 8:00 p.m. in Llanerchymedd, Anglesey,
Wales
several villagers, including a man hunting rabbits, watched a bright
white light descend slowly behind a new housing estate. Other
independent witnesses saw a large silvery sphere above a field, and
watched the cows panic and neighborhood dogs start barking furiously. A
woman and her young daughter looked out and saw three tall men in gray
uniforms with caps or helmets attached to their suits walk across the
field. She ran to the village to find some other witnesses. At around
10:00 p.m. many Welsh towns, including Wrexham, Ruabon, Prestatyn, and
Colwyn Bay  reported UFO sightings to police. (Sources: FSR, September 1979, p. 16; Richard
Hall, The UFO Evidence, Volume 2: A Thirty Year Report, pp. 281,
491; David F. Webb & Ted Bloecher, HUMCAT: Catalogue of Humanoid
Reports
, case A1961; Robert Gribble, MUFON UFO Journal, issue #
245, UNICAT, case # 79).

1979 – While driving on I-80 near Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania
at around 11:00 p.m. a witness reported a disc that flew to the
west for two minutes, then turned and flew off to the north. It
made no noise, and had lit windows around its perimeter with a slow
rotation.

1983 – At 11:45
p.m. a dark, wedge-shaped UFO hovered directly over a motorcyclist on
Highway A49 near River Weaver, Weaverham, Cheshire, England.
Mr. Lowry found out when car headlights drew his attention back to
reality that he was no longer in the same spot, and he had
experienced two hours of unexplained missing time. (Source: Jenny
Randles, Alien Contacts and Abductions, p. 64).

1989 – On this night a giant, cigar-shaped object flew silently over the city of Shevchenko (Aktau), Kazakstan
disappearing into clouds over the water. Its taillights stayed visible
for awhile longer. (Source: Larry Hatch, U computer database; Jacques
Vallee, UFO Chronicles of the Soviet Union: A Cosmic Samizdat, p. 13).

1990 – Starting at 4:10 a.m. a 75-foot long red cone of light appeared in the fog over a house in Williams Lake, British Columbia
for 20 minutes. A witness reported having a three-week long nosebleed
as a result of this high strangeness close encounter. The case is rated
by investigators as a high-reliability unknown. (Sources: Geoff
Dittman, UFO Research Manitoba; Larry Hatch, U computer database, case
# 15245, citing John Schuessler).

1993 – A woman was in a cabin in the woods at Dorothy Lake,
Manitoba, Canada when she awoke around 3:30 a.m. to go to the bathroom. Not
wanting to disturb the other cabin occupants, she left the bathroom door
open. As she sat there she was looking down the hall towards a window, and
she saw a face appear in the window as it went by. This shocked her
because the cabin window is about eight feet above the ground. The face
was a classic Grey alien humanoid, with an egg-shaped head and large, almond-shaped
eyes. She also saw a blue light flashing outside. The woman screamed and
the face went away. No tracks were found outside. Investigators rated the
reliability of the witness as high. (Sources: Geoff Dittman, UFO Research
Manitoba, 1993 Canadian UFO Survey, case 269; Albert S. Rosales, Humanoid
Contact Database 1993, case # 2089, citing the 1993 Canadian UFO
Survey).

1993 – A commercial aerial photographer, flying over Clear Lake, California
at 1:00 a.m. witnessed three white balls of light, and recorded them
with his Betacam high resolution video camera mounted under the wing of
his aircraft. Each of the three lights flashed intermitently,
disappeared, and then suddenly emitted a very intense pulse within one
video frame (1/30 of a second). (Source: Richard F. Haines, Project Delta, p. 50).

1994 – A mother and daughter exited I-8 near Gila Bend, Arizona
to watch a domed, disc-shaped object maneuvering in the sky.
It landed, took off and maneuvered some more for three and a
half hours, finally paced their car. At one point it shone a beam
of light onto a passing train. (Sources: UFO Newsclipping Service, December 1994, p. 2; Gila Bend (AZ) Sun, November 10, 1994; Francis L. Ridge, UFO Intelligence Newsletter; MUFON Arizona).

1996
– The witness, a 48-year-old woman, was awakened by an “extremely loud
noise” at 3:10 a.m. She ran to her second floor balcony of her home in
Dexter, New York and saw a
multicolored, triangular object over the lake, which flew across the
lake and out of sight, making a roaring sound. Her daughter saw the
trail in the sky left by the object after it had gone. (Source: David
Bodner, MUFON case files, case # 961001SE).

1999 – At 10:00 p.m. the witness heard a throbbing noise, and saw that the yard was lit up a blue color in Levittown, New York.
There was a huge, disc-shaped object, 40 meters over the town’s
water tower; it went off to the southeast. (Source: George A. Filer,
Filer’s Files, volume 9, number 37).

2001 – A flying saucer was seen by witnesees over Zionsville, Indiana
at 9:30 p.m. It had solid white lights at the ends and bottom, and
a flashing white light on top. It hovered low, and appeared to be
standing still as the witnesses approached it by car. It disappeared
completely when they attempted to get closer. (Sources: Peter
Davenport, National UFO Reporting Center, September 2001 webpage;
George A. Filer & David E. Twichell, Filer’s Files: Worldwide Reports of UFO Sightings, p. 26).

2002 – Anchored near Port Rawlston, in Georgian Bay of Parry Sound, Ontario
three adult witnesses saw an extremely large triangular shape in the
sky at 12:15 a.m. It had one side that was shorter than the
others. If flew to the west, making no sound. As it went further
west, the lights dimmed out and it was no longer visible. The sky was
clear at the time and there was no light pollution from on shore light
sources. (Sources: Sources: Geoff Dittman, 2002 Canadian UFO Survey,
case # 384; Peter Davenport, National UFO Reporting Center, September
2002 webpage; George A. Filer & David E. Twichell, Filer’s Files: Worldwide Reports of UFO Sightings, p. 108, citing Brian Vike, HBCCUFO, www.geocities.com/hbccufo/home.html).

2002 – At 8:30 p.m. a married couple in Topeka, Kansas
saw another triangular UFO. It was very close to the ground and close
to them. It appeared to be losing control, then regained it
and took off. At 11:15 p.m. a triangular formation of white lights was
spotted over Trout Lake, Mount Adams, Washington State moving and making a 180 degree turn. (Source: Peter Davenport, National UFO Reporting Center, September 2002 webpage).

2002 – At saucer-shaped object was seen in Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka at 8:10 p.m. It made no sound, and was stationed in one place in the sky for 5 minutes before it disappeared. (Source: Peter Davenport, National UFO Reporting Center, September 2002 webpage).

2005
– At 11:00 p.m. a flying sphere with randomly flashing lights of
red, blue, green and yellow was sighted in Shaftsbury,
Bennington County, Vermont. The small sphere moved quickly, randomly darting back and forth in the sky. The sighting lasted for about an hour. (Source: Peter Davenport, National UFO Reporting Center, September 2005 webpage, report uploaded September 15, 2005).

2009 – Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto County, Texas.
A report was made to the National UFO Reporting Center of a close
encounter with a rectangular shaped UFO, about 50 feet long and 150
feet off of the ground at 4:45 a.m. It was moving silently at about 25
mph and had a tablet-shaped bottom covered in small, dimly lit
light blue lights. (Source: Peter Davenport, National UFO Reporting
Center, September 2009 webpage, report uploaded December 12, 2009).
